About

An Uncommon Life,
An Unmistakable Voice

Durga Prasai (दुर्गा प्रसाई) is a Nepalese medical entrepreneur, right-wing political activist, and proud defender of the Hindu Rashtra — born on 5 May 1971 in Terhathum district, later building his life and legacy in Jhapa.

Rising from a humble farming family, Prasai left school after Class 8 yet climbed through sheer determination. His journey spans buffalo farming, Maoist alliance, CPN-UML membership, and a dramatic turn toward becoming Nepal's most prominent voice for the restoration of constitutional monarchy and the Hindu state.

He is the Executive Director of B&C Hospital, Jhapa — founded and built by him — and a private investor in Taksha Shila education foundation. In March 2024, the Supreme Court of Nepal ordered MBBS affiliation for his hospital, a landmark ruling validating his decade-long vision for accessible medical education in eastern Nepal.

📣
Voice
Spoken for the Voiceless
From rural farmers crushed by debt to patients denied medical care, Durga Prasai has consistently used his platform — legal, political, and digital — to amplify the struggles of those ignored by the system.

"Durga Prasai is not merely a political figure — he is the man who showed up when no one else did. When floods devastated villages in Jhapa, when hospitals turned away patients who could not pay, when farmers wept under the weight of bank interest they could never repay — Prasai was there. He did not send a representative. He came himself, with medicine, with food, with lawyers, and with his voice raised so loudly that the powerful had no choice but to listen."

His followers call him Seva ka Purush — the Man of Service. Critics may disagree with his politics, but across the villages of Jhapa and beyond, tens of thousands remember the quiet and not-so-quiet ways this son of Terhathum stood between the vulnerable and those who would exploit them. That record of service is inseparable from the man himself.
